It is not easy being green>>>

I am trying my best not to take things hard. Staying motivated with my diet, while balancing a full time night shift, and clepping out of classes to finish my degree. Trying to stay with in my budget and splurge a little bit when necessary.
But one of the things that I am  trying to implement in my house is to be more environmental friendly. My first step was to switch all the lights in my house to CFL's. The cost was about a $1 for each  at my local Wal-mart. I know that they have the newer LCD lights, but i am going to hold off on that just a little bit till....
The second step was paper towels. I spend any where between 15-20 on itpaper towels every two weeks.  I  saw somewhere online that I can use bar towels inside of paper towels. So off I went, in search of some. I got 24 bar mop towels at my Sam's club for a little bit under  $13. I have been using it for a week and to be honest. I love it, these towels soak up so much more then paper towels. And it be honest it works  a lot better. I am able to use one and throw it into the dirty basket and pick up another. One towel usually does what 5 paper towels would do.
To be honest, I brought 2 12 pack of paper towels two months ago and I still have about 18 left. So I think this is a system that i will be keeping.
