New me, new chapeter

So yesterday, I started a new job and need to do an pre-employment screening.  And as with all screening the wanted to check my blood pressure and my weight. Now I know i am a big girl, i have been big most my life been teased and called all types of names. But over the years I came to love the body that i am in and accept it. But last year things change when my brother passed away due to heart complications. but before that he was trying his hardest to loose the weight and lead a more healthy life style.
Back to yesterday, I hop on the scale weighting to see the same numbers that I have always seen. But the number have shock me I gain 8 pounds I was pushing 242.2 pounds. I thought that it was just their scale that made me their scale was calibrated wrong and didn't give a second thought to it. I knew I am big and don't mind it so much. I knew that there was a weight watchers sign up for later that night and i could put my mind at ease. Hoping that the scale their would say what I thought my weight really was.
Well when I went for the sign up and intinal weight check in the scale was right on point. I was an amazing 242.2 pounds I can't believe it. I just thought about what my brother went through and I didn't want to go through the same thing. I don't want to suffer I want to be around  for my kid! That night I look at my fridge and saw the reason I had gain so much in so little time. Ribs, BBQ chicken wings,ox tail, and other fating and greasy food. No fruits nor veggies in their. Even through i had started cooking more in efforts to stop eating out and be more healthy. I didn't stop to think to cook more healthy.
So last night, I stop and wrote my grocery list for the week and highlighted all the things that I needed and decided to make little switches, that would help me in the long run.( I will post about my grocery shopping later on in the week.)I also decided that I would walk my dog every day. Shooting for twice a day for at least 30 minutes.
Old picture of me!
